Gary, really great hearing from you! I have many hazy memories of my two times in Nam. I am sure the memories of that nite resupply mission are somewhat mixed up except for the enemy fire we were receiving on our two attempts in before we kicked ammo off on the third try. I ran into the co-pilot Tim Messett in Vegas a number of years back at the VHPA reunion. I subsequently lost his contact info and then saw him this year in New Orleans at the reunion. He said that was his first day, first mission when he was with us! Scared the shit out of him! We need to get a three way discussion going about that nite and get some of the facts straight for me at least. I see I'll have to get on the 162nd site more than once or twice a year. My wife already accuses me of spending too much time on the computer!
I can see the need to joint the VHCMA as well since the VHPA doesn't allow crew members to join.

Cool the one with the four of us with peace signs in hand , so cool showed to my coworkers ,, they wondered why the sunglasses,, told them we never inhaled
