Hi! I received a letter today from an Army Veteran who lives Seaside, California trying to find someone that served with him in the 162th in the 68-69 timeframe. I did not start flying with the 162th until 1971. He is looking for someone to write a vouch letter for the VA. He found me on the Vietnam Helecopter Crewmember Association site. He states is is diagnosed with dementia and he needs someone that can vouch for a crash and explosion he was involved in. He also states because of his dementia he is having difficulty remembering. He sent me a copy of his DD-214 and a picture of him in the gunners well of one our Mike Model Gunships. His name is Thomas Lane Deupree. Obviously I can't vouch for that time period. If anyone remembers him and the events he mentioned, let me know and I'll send you his contact info. Thanks. PS. Back living in Austin, Texas. Health is holding up pretty well. Got a new gal in my life for the last two years. Wishing all well.
